What a wonderful week we had with family!! June 21 - 28th, 2008 in Winter Park, Colorado was our 11th Roths Reunion (we have them every three years). With 137 family members attending, it was a great time catching up with those in the family that we are not able to see very often.
Grandma Donna and Grandpa Jim were VERY excited to get to see Kyra - whom they had only seen in pictures, video and webcam since they were here in Wichita when she was born. Kyra warmed up right away to her grandparents and had a great time being "spoiled". She charmed everyone with her bright eyes and smile, and showed everyone just how big she is getting as she learned to pull herself up at the coffee table!
We went on several walks, and got to use the new backpack carrier that grandma and grandpa found for Kyra. Uncle Jared carried her a lot of the time, not seeming to mind the weight of his little niece on his back. :) She loved being able to see everything around her - and was even comfortable enough to take a little nap!
Kyra also had the chance to swim in a big pool for the first time, and she loved it! We put her in a little floater, and she kicked her legs hard in the water and splashed happily.
It was a wonderful, relaxing time for all - and we look forward to doing it again in three years!!
