Summer fun is now only a "pop-up" away!

This past week we bought a pop-up camper!

It is a 1994 Jayco model that is in really good condition both inside and out. It is about 14 feet long when down and 22 feet long when put up. We think the pop-up has a queen size bed on one side and a full size bed on the other (we haven't checked - we'll know if the sheets fit) :), with a twin size bed when the table is put down. It has a small water reservoir, or you can hook up to an exterior water supply. There are propane connections for the two-burner stove inside and outside of the camper. Also, there is a built-in ice box. We have plenty of storage, with a two-foot box on the front of the camper that can be accessed from the inside or outside, and lots of cabinets inside too. The exterior is canvas and vinyl and is in really good shape. There are electric hookups - you can either use a battery or plug into an electrical site.

We were excited to find the camper on Craigslist - we had been looking for awhile and had not found any campers in our price range in the Wichita area. We had even considered driving up to Kansas City since the Craigslist there had a lot more pop-up camper postings. God provided though! I was checking Craigslist Tuesday after Memorial Day and saw the listing that had just been posted. I called the guy - and he said I was the fifth person to call. He sent me pictures and after looking at them I called him back to say we were definitely interested. I mentioned we were a young family looking to upgrade from tent camping - and he decided that since they would like to sell the camper to a young family (like they were when they bought the camper) they would let us come out first to see if we wanted it. While we were looking at the camper they had four more people call interested in it!

We are looking forward to taking it out camping really soon!
