It is hard to believe Kyra is 10 months old already! Next month in the nursery at church they will be moving Kyra up to the next room - from Infants to Young Walkers! :( *sniff* She is growing up so fast!
Kyra still takes a few tentative steps now and then, but prefers crawling to walking as she can get where she wants to go a whole lot faster. :) She has been working on her "sign language" and is really good at letting us know what she wants. (Though some of her signs look like others - "Drink" and "Blowing Kisses" look the same, and sometimes "All Finished" and "Wave Bye-bye" look the same. We have learned it is all about context!) :) I have posted a little video clip of some of her signs for you to see below!
One of Kyra's favorite pasttimes right now is listening to Mommy read stories. She gets very excited when Mommy gets a book out and they sit down to read. Kyra loves to point at pictures of things she recognizes - such as the Red Balloon in "Goodnight Moon." She also loves turning the pages - sometimes she doesn't wait for Mommy to finish reading the page! :)
Kyra also loves "dancing" to music, and is even learning some of the motions to songs her Mommy and Daddy sing to her, such as "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". I have uploaded a video below of her doing those motions - it is too cute!!
Enjoy the videos and the few pictures I have also uploaded!
