It is hard to believe that Kyra is 5 months old already! She is getting so big! Her latest trick is to sit up all by herself. She did it for the first time on March 4th - where she sat up for 36 seconds in a row! Since that time she has decided that the world is definitely a more interesting place - and she doesn't want to miss any of it by lying down. :)
Another first - Kyra is drinking water from a cup! She loved watching her mommy and daddy drink from their cups, and would always squirm and stare at their cups as if to say, "Me too, mommy!" Since the doctor encouraged us to introduce her to water, we sat her up in her Bumbo seat, put on her bib, and let her sip away. The first few attempts most of the water ended up coming back out of her mouth, but today she proved that she is really getting the hang of it, even trying to hold the cup herself! We did try giving her water in a bottle - but she would not have any of that. Kyra knew that only milk was supposed to come out of there I suppose. :) Besides - she's a big girl! :)
As you can see from the new pictures below, Kyra loves bath time, even more now that she can use the big tub (since it is white instead of an awful green color - mommy and daddy didn't want her first bath pictures in that ugly tub!!) She loves to kick and splash in the water - getting mommy as wet as possible. :)
