Last Sunday was Kyra's very first trip to the Zoo! It was the Pratt Industries company picnic, so we had some hamburgers and hotdogs first then went to see some of the animals. Kyra enjoyed having some hamburger and a few bites of cookie for a treat!
Our first stop was to see the penguins, but Kyra was not too impressed with watching animals through glass. :) We quickly moved on to the petting zoo area. Kyra's favorite part was looking at the big cows who were eating their lunch. She watched them with big eyes and said "Mooo!" We took her into the pen with the sheep and goats so that Kyra could pet them. She was a little timid, as the animals were very pushy since they are used to people coming in with food for them. She did feed a sheep one time, but got a little scared and wouldn't let me put any more food into her hand.
I'm sure Kyra will appreciate the zoo more as she gets a little older! I attached a new slideshow below of Kyra with the animals.
